Opera Teams Up With Tron – The Browser Adds TRX To Its List Of Supported Coins

Tron (TRX) had a great year so far, and Justin Sun, its founder and CEO, made sure always to highlight its achievements on social media.

The latest success witnessed by Tron is that it recorded a 24-hour transaction volume that has been seen the last time back in mid-2018.

On May 14, a few days ago, the TRX platform recorded a volume worth of one billion US dollars.

Misha Lederman, the co-founder of IAMDecentralized and an advisor at dApp evolution, tweeted:

“Tron just passed 1 billion USD in 24-hour trading volume.”

Opera supports TRX

Opera is a developer of both mobile phone and PC web browsers. Opera’s support of TRX is a direct result of the Ledger Capital partnership as the Bitcoinist reveals.

Opera’s Krystian Kolondra, EVP, Head of Browsers, said that “TRON is a popular, quickly developing blockchain with a swiftly growing dApp ecosystem. We are happy to open our browser to it. By opening products to multiple blockchains, we are accelerating the mainstream adoption of Web 3.0.”

Justin Sun, Founder and CEO at TRON, has also spoken on the matter:

“We are excited that Opera, a mainstream browser with hundreds of millions of users, will now seamlessly support TRX and other TRON tokens. Soon, Opera users will be able to use dApps on the TRON blockchain. “

The online publication mentioned above notes that Opera’s vision is to offer user-friendly Web 3.0 functionality to its 320 million users.

Opera has been working to integrate the blockchain tech

Opera has been working on integrating the blockchain tech for the past few years. At the moment the browsers support  Ethereum (ETH) and Ethereum Classic (ETC).

Transactions on both networks can be performed via smart contract functionality. This is definitely a step ahead towards mass adoption of crypto.

Bitcoinist writes that “Opera has the goal of establishing and maintaining a boundary-free and industry-agnostic internet,” and it is at the forefront of Web 3.0 innovation.
