$100 Million Ripple Investment: Crypto And Blockchain Penetrate Gaming Industry

Ripple had a great 2019 and 2020 was expected to be an even better year for the San Francisco-based company.

Ripple has also been making huge efforts to promote its digital asset XRP, and the firm has been boosting the whole XRP ecosystem as well.

Forte teams up with blockchain developers

Blockchain gaming startup Forte teams up with five developers in order to tap the blockchain technology and apply it to mobile and also computer games.

Forte is touting its new partnership with Hi-Rez Studios, Netmarble, Magmic, nWay, and DECA Games, which will all be joining the firm’s existing roster of game creator partners, which includes Disruptor Beam, Other Ocean, and Kongregate, according to the latest reports coming from the online publication the Daily Hodl.

Promoting blockchain integration in the video games industry

The announcement comes one year after Ripple, which uses XRP in order to power ODL unveiled a fund to promote the blockchain integration in the video games industry.

Forte now oversees Ripple’s $100-million investment in the gaming industry.

It’s been also revealed that Forte says the blockchain technology has enormous potential.

Kaiser Hwang the company’s VP of marketing says that it will enable players to securely buy and trade in-game assets and unlock new revenue streams.

“We firmly believe that blockchain technology by itself is not enough. Engaging player experiences must accompany it and are paramount to bringing the benefits of blockchain technology to the mainstream,” he said.

He continued and explained that this is the reason for which they are timing up with the best game creators on the whole planet.

The main goal is to create rewarding, innovative game experiences for the gaming communities.
