2018 was the year of the bears as the crypto space was embraced by a bearish trend almost throughout the whole year.
Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao had a conversation with The Street a few days ago, and among others, he said that 2019 would be the year which will see crypto mass adoption.
Zhao is confident that adoption will increase in 2019
During 2018, the crypto market was under the veils of a bearish trend and Bitcoin which reached its all-time high back in December 2017, fell harder than even during this November.
During the last few days, the bear market entered a really critic phase after falling more than 30% in just a few days.
On the other hand, Zhao believes that 2019 will be an excellent year for adoption and help the overall industry improve.
“We don’t plan a year out. We have a ten-year strategy, but when we make plans, we only plan for three months ahead, as a maximum. Usually like two weeks ahead. Overall, our 2019 will just be to increase cryptocurrency adoption. That’s not just for Binance’s coin or Binance as a platform, but more broadly we want to increase adoption for crypto. Anything that helps the industry get bigger will be good,” Zhao said.
Binance is looking for teams that share its vision
Zhao explained that they’re looking for teams that are sharing the same vision as Binance.
He was extremely confident about Binance and the way in which they want to build the future of the crypto space.
Binance is one of the largest crypto exchanges regarding trading volume, and the most important pairs that are available for exchange are BTC/USDT, BCHSV/USDT, and XRP/USDT which account for almost 50% of the total trading volume in the platform.
Binance is planning to launch a decentralized crypto exchange shortly, and the Binance Coin BNC will be the base crypto used there.
Zhao concluded by saying that he wants Binance to become a verb just like Google because people say that they “google something.”
