Vasil is complete!! Thank you to everyone who has worked on this upgrade, especially our SPOs that played a vital role in making this possible. I want to share my thoughts on what Vasil means for Cardano. Time for a thread 🧵. ⅙

He continued and said this:
“The Vasil hard fork moves us towards this goal by improving Cardano’s foundational features, upgrading the technology’s capacity to transform our traditional financial and social systems, and ultimately advancing decentralised economic empowerment. 3/6”
He posted the following message as well:
“Where previous development eras focused on decentralization and new functionality, Basho is focused on improving the underlying performance of the Cardano network to support further growth and adoption for applications with high transaction volumes.”
He also made sure to point out the fact that Vasil will enhance Cardano’s smart contract capabilities through Plutus V2 scripts and cost model.
This adds greater efficiency to an already powerful smart contract platform. Ultimately, it will reduce script execution costs and transaction size, plus improve throughput.
Cardano backer signs new important deal
The Cardano Foundation has just teamed up with Georgia’s National Wine Agency and other partners to use blockchain technology.
This is made in an effort to track the quality and authenticity of wine produced by the eastern European country.
The partnership also includes the Bolnisi Winemakers Association and Scantrust, and it’s important to note the fact that this intends to use the Cardano (ADA) blockchain to bolster Georgia’s global wine production reputation.
According to the Cardano Foundation, a pilot program that targets both export and local markets will be launched in Georgia’s Bolnisi region. Stay tuned for more news.
