New crypto reports are out
The research arm of crypto venture capital fund Hashed has the main goal of bridging the gap between the blockchain industry and the South Korean government.
The latest reports coming from CoinDesk note that the research arm of Seoul-based crypto venture capital firm Hashed has appointed Yong-Beom Kim, the former vice minister of economy and finance of South Korea, as its new CEO.
It’s also important to note the fact that Hashed Open Research is focused on blockchain and digital technology.
More than that, it has plans to create a dialogue between blockchain specialists and the Korean government, according to CoinDesk Korea.
“I thought that my experience could be helpful for the vision and global expansion strategy of the young blockchain investor group,” Kim said.
The same online publication mentioned above notes that Kim was behind legislation in 2017 the sought to prevent illegal crypto transactions, he also helped revise the FSC’s Special Payment Act, which was previously considered strict for crypto companies.
Last week, Korea’s money laundering watchdog flagged 16 companies for operating illegally and without registration in the nation.

According to a new company announcement, Binance will be offering verified users the chance to earn crypto by learning about virtual assets and proving their knowledge on the subject.
As the online publication the Daily Hodl notes, users would be able to earn $10 in XRP, decentralized application (DApp) network Lisk (LSK), the native asset of UK-based crypto exchange BitTorrent Chain (BTTC), and other unnamed projects.
