Google Reveals New Terms For Crypto Businesses

Not too long ago, we revealed that Google is making moves that will turn out extremely important for the crypto space.

In a previous article, we noted that the mainstream adoption of digital assets had been one of the most important goals that the crypto space has set. There have been a lot of moves in this direction, and they seem to continue.

Google announces new terms for crypto businesses

The online publication the Daily Hodl notes that Google has updated its support page. The tech giant announced a new policy on how it will handle advertising for cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets in the United States.

“Beginning August 3, advertisers offering cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets targeting the United States may advertise those products and services when they meet the following requirements and are certified by Google.”

More than that, Google also revoked all certifications that were awarded prior to the policy update.

“All prior Cryptocurrency Exchange certifications will be revoked on August 3, 2021. Advertisers must request new Cryptocurrency Exchanges and Wallets certification with Google when the application form is published on July 8, 2021.”

The online publication the Daily Hodl notes that despite the fact that Google eases up on crypto restrictions, advertisers still cannot promote ads for the ICOs or DeFi trading protocols.
