Someone commented: “Doesn’t mean a lot though. I’m registered and still not buying anything. Just can’t spend ETH or anything else on some comic book.”

CoinRivet online publication also noted the following:

“More than a million users have now bought an NFT on OpenSea The surge to the landmark barrier highlights the popularity and appeal of the once-again burgeoning NFT space.”

They also noted that there is more data from Dune which is also showing the fact that OpenSea looks to be on track to break its monthly volume record, which saw $3.42bn in volume traded during last August’s sudden emergence of the NFT space.

“The data shows that so far in January 2022, OpenSea has seen $2.85bn in volume and shows no signs of slowing as more and more crypto-natives begin to seek more diversified investments and yield to the almost magnetic appeal of NFTs.”

OpenSea in the news

Back in September 2021, it’s been revealed that the NFT craze continues to develop, and the crypto space is embracing it. Now, the latest news only fuels this growing popularity that the NFTs are surrounded with.

It’s been just reported that the NFT marketplace OpenSea launched a mobile app for iOS and Android users on Thursday. This is according to a post on the OpenSea official YouTube channel.

The online publication The Block Crypto notes that the mobile app allows users to “connect their OpenSea profile and discover new works, save works to favorites and filter NFT searches based on criteria such as category, name, collection and creator.”
