Ripple Partner MoneyGram Reveals New Initiative With Uber

Ripple made headlines a lot lately due to various achievements and bold plans.

Also, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said that the US is at risk of falling behind China in the race to launch a robust digital economy considering the rapid advancements in payments tech.

Garlinghouse hopped on Twitter and said that the policymakers in the US would have to step up the game in order to be able to compete.

MoneyGram teams up with Uber

It’s been recently revealed that global payments giant MoneyGram is teaming up with Uber to support drivers and delivery couriers who are relying on digital payments to send money all over the world.

It’s been also revealed that Wage earners on Uber’s platform including the Driver app, Uber Eats, Uber Freight, and Uber Works, are now eligible for discounts on digital money transfers, according to the Daily Hodl.

It’s also worth noting the fact that MoneyGram’s extends the discounts to Uber participants who are sending money to family and friends is more than 200 countries and territories – the program is initially rolling out in the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia.

MoneyGram is focused on expanding the digital economy with all of its strategic partnerships.

The partnership is useful for people who send money frequently

The firm’s chairman and chief executive, Alex Holmes, said that this partnership would be beneficial for people who are sending money frequently to friends and family.

Kamila Chytil, MoneyGram chief operating officer and leader of the company’s digital efforts, stated the following:

“As strong demand for our digital capabilities continues to grow, we look forward to providing discounts on all money transfers made through our mobile app and website to everyone earning on the Uber platform.”
