Ripple new partnership
San Francisco-based payments company Ripple is signing a new partnership that involves on-fungible tokens (NFTs).
During a new announcement, digital assets exchange CrossTower says they are partnering with Ripple to bring XRP Ledger (XRPL) minted NFTs to the CrossTower NFT marketplace.
“CrossTower will facilitate minting and trading of NFTs with Ripple as blockchain partner providing technical support on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) blockchain.”
The notes continue and state the following:
“CrossTower’s marketplace makes it easy for developers and creators to onboard their projects, accelerating time to market.”
CrossTower is a Web 3.0 exchange founded in 2019 and based out of Jersey City, New Jersey.
CrossTower CEO Kapil Rathi said this about the partnership:
“We are thrilled to partner with Ripple and build our Web3.0 platform on the XRPL.”
The CEO continued and explained this:
“Ripple’s commitment to building a developer network in India is particularly exciting for CrossTower as we are committed to developing India’s blockchain talent. We look forward to the growth of our global NFT platform.”

According to the latest reports, Ripple is launching an innovation challenge aiming to promote the development of XRP Ledger (XRPL) apps for central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
According to the contest page, entrants can submit projects to three categories: interoperability, retail-facing, and financial inclusion.
The contest rules note the following: interoperability projects should involve solutions that help CBDCs bridge with other digital assets, including non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and stablecoins.
“Digital assets are increasing in importance as the world increasingly moves closer to Web 3.0. However, interoperability remains a challenge which may impact CBDCs.”
Regarding the price of XRP today, at the moment of writing this article, XRP is trading in the red and the coin is priced at $0,319.
