Spend XRP At Amazon With New BitPay Integration

The crypto market looks pretty bloody today, and most digital assets are trading in the red. This comes following a really exciting past week which saw the prices skyrocketing.

Ripple‘s Brad Garlinghouse once said that there are more important things in the crypto space than the prices and these include developments, use cases for a certain crypto and mainstream adoption.

Mass adoption of digital assets has been one of the main goals of the crypto industry back in 2019 and it still is.

Use XRP at Amazon

Now, massive news makes the XRP army of fans more than excited these days. It’s been just revealed that the crypto payments service BitPay launched new support for XRP.

BitPay co-founder Tony Gallippi confirmed that users would soon be able to buy first cards with XRP starting this week.
He retweeted the news, which was first revealed by a group of XRP fans.

The giftcards give crypto holders the easiest way of spending their crypto at a long list of important retailers, including Amazon, Burger King, DoorDash, Domino’s, GameStop, and Home Depot.

BitPay’s main service is designed to offer companies and individuals an easy way to accept crypto payments as well as store their crypto assets.

XRP’s scalability sets it apart from more digital assets

The company added support for XRP payments in October after teaming up with Ripple.

BitPay director of product, Sean Rolland, says the speed and scalability of XRP set it apart from most crypto assets on the market.

“BitPay customers are leveraging the promise of blockchain payment technology and with XRP can offer a payment option that is fast, cost-effective, and scalable. The addition of XRP as the next blockchain asset supported by BitPay expands blockchain choices across the payments space,” he said.

XRP is currently trading in the red on CoinMarketCap and the coin is priced at $0.232679.
