Arket experiments with VeChain for product tracking
The company’s in-house clothing brand Arket has been experimenting with the blockchain company in order to track products.
The latest rumors on Reddit and Twitter involve a pilot test, and they surfaced online since October.
A spokesperson at Arket told The Next Web that a test “is ongoing and has not yet been evaluated.”
Arket has done a small Proof of Concept (POC) via a pilot testing with VeChain to use blockchain technology for securing product data traceability in the value chain.
The test has been made on a wool beanie from the autumn 2018 collection, according to the latest reports from The Next Web.
Before buying an item, conscious shoppers can open their VeChain app, scan a product’s NFC chip and retrieve data about that particular item including the material that has been used, the artist’s ID, colo, supplier, factory name and more relevant information.

VeChain teams up with SBTG
VeChain launched another fashion collaboration a few weeks ago with its partnership with high-profile shoe artist SBTG in order to release Adidas shoed that contain NFC chips.
Amidst a quickly developing counterfeit clothing industry, users will be able to scan the chip and see photos of their shoes that are being made as well as a private video from SBTG.
All information will be stored on the VeChainThor Blockchain.
Other than this, the latest significant achievement involving VeChain was that the blockchain firm was at the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) to showcase solutions that will appropriately service the country’s growing market.
The CIIE took place between November 5th to 10 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), hosting business communities, government officials, exhibitors and professional purchasers from about 172 countries.
