Verge (XVG) Debit Cards And Other News About Verge

Verge (XVG) project surpassed some rough months, but the Verge team managed to tackle a few obstacles that even threatened the progress of the entire project. Now, the devs came out with some news about Verge, including Verge (XVG) debit cards, smart contracts, and wallet update.

Verge (XVG) debit cards

The deal Verge signed with TokenPay made possible the partial ownership over the WEG Bank of Germany. Also, Litecoin Foundation partnered with TokenPay and grabbed a share of the before-mentioned bank.

However, Verge (XVG) debit cards have been one of the main goals of the platform since the partnership was established.

“We are waiting on TokenPay’s team to fully implement support of debit cards to facilitate the use of Verge,” said XVG developer Marvin Piekarek.

RSK Smart contracts

“We’ll start investing more time into RSK as soon as we get the rest of the list checked off. So please bear with us,” said Marvin Piekarek regarding smart contracts.

So, we must have patience with Verge (XVG) RSK smart contracts, as the XVG developer asked.

Verge (XVG) wallet update

Describing it as the fastest and most user-friendly portfolio, the Verge team is working on the new Verge (XVG) wallet for some time now. Also, the devs are currently debating whether to develop a wallet as a full-core node or not.

The Verge codebase and the Bitcoin Core bug

When the bug in the Bitcoin Core has been found recently, the Verge (XVG) community wondered if that would have also affected Verge blockchain. All that because Verge devs recoded the network to the codebase of Bitcoin (BTC).

“We already took our time to investigate this issue within our latest codebase and we came to the conclusion that we aren’t vulnerable to this kind of attack. As added security, we are going to include the bitcoin fix into our new codebase as well,” said Marvin Piekarek.
