Ripple and XRP made headlines a lot last year, and it seems that 2020 also begins with the entitites in the spotlight.
XRP adoption is boosted by this move
The crypto ATM company General Bytes said that XRP is not supported on its network of 3,000 machines.
The company said that ATM operators have the option to decide whether they want their machine to support the crypto.
“Owners can now enable XRP as it is backported to all machines sold to date. Of course, an ATM operator needs to enable it as they are the ones who own the machines, wallets, etc.”
The news comes a month after Ripple’s fundraising and development arm Xpring invested $1.5 million in Coinme, a crypto ATM company based in Seattle.

Someone responded to the tweet with: “Thank you for clearing that up… Some people were under the assumption that ALL ATM’s were currently selling XRP.”
Ripple has been working hard to promote the adoption of XRP and to boost the while XRP ecosystem in 2019.
New products are in the pipeline in 2020
A few days ago, it was reported that Ripple vice president of global institutional markets, Breeanne Madigan, said that there are some new XRP products in the pipeline for this year.
During the latest episode of The Ripple Drop, Madigan said that there are new use cases for XRP that are on the way as the firm pushes for adoption of its XRP-based cross border payment product ODL.
“We are fortunate at Ripple in that we have the ODL product, which is the first at-scale, institutional-grade, utility-driven use case for digital assets…” she said.
She continued and explained that “We’re excited to build on ODL, and we here at Ripple are focused on new utility and new use cases for XRP through our Xpring initiative, and we’re excited about new products to come in 2020.”
