Arsenal FC Signs 3-year Betting Partnership with Sportsbet.io

Sports betting is a global industry that generates billions of dollars in profit and it comes as no surprise that sports clubs are also trying to get in on the action. This is usually done with sponsorship deals with these betting sites. An example of this Warton FC which is sponsored by 138.com among others.

Now Arsenal FC, one of the most valuable and successful football clubs in the world, has joined in by announcing a new multi-year partnership with a sports betting site.

Arsenal FC and Sportsbet.io Team Up

The sports betting site in question is Sportsbet who will partner with Arsenal for a three-year period. The platform is a cryptocurrency-focused one and is known within and outside the cryptocurrency industry for its innovative customer service offerings and this has not gone unnoticed by the management of the football club.

Arsenal Commercial Director, Peter Silverstone, said in a press statement how proud they were to partner with a gaming company whose innovations in fintech have led to the modernization of the industry:

“It’s been fantastic getting to know Sportsbet.io and learning about our shared spirit of innovation and the ground-breaking work they are doing in the fintech space.”

As the partnership moves forward, Sportsbet will prioritize creating exclusive content for both their users as well as Arsenal fans. Furthermore, this partnership will aim to promote women in football. Arsenal football coaches will be flown to Estonia, Sportsbet’s base of operations, to conduct a football clinic that will help train the next generation of female football talent. Along with this, the partnership will also look towards setting up social responsibility initiatives and promote responsible gambling.

The club has said it will look forward to leveraging combined expertise to develop and deliver engaging user experiences and content for the fanbase and Sportsbet’s own growing user base.

Leveraging Arsenal’s Audience

New content will also be produced for Arsenal’s global social media following of over 80 million people. The Arsenal women’s team also has 6 million followers online, making them the most followed women’s sports team in the world. Tim Heath, Founder of the Coingaming Group, the parent company behind Sportsbet.io spoke about the confidence he had in Arsenal’s track record of delivering innovative changes to the modern game, and believed this made them the perfect partner in this new venture. He promised a lot of activities lines up towards promoting  crypto gaming awareness as well as to foster crypto gaming adoption on an increased scale “never seen before in football”.

This new deal makes it the third such pairing of Sportsbet with a Premier League Football team. Watford FC, its first, was playing in last season’s edition but now is in the Championship, where it has already started its journey to reclaim the spot it deserves alongside Southampton and Arsenal, the other two clubs associated with Sportsbet.

More details regarding the partnership as well as the first piece of content are expected to be made public soon.
