eToro’s CEO just confirmed that the company is looking at adopting Ripple’s XRP-powered xRapid.
Yoni Assia has just paid a visit to Ripple in order to learn more about the cross-border solution that uses the digital asset XRP.
eToro and Ripple partnership
Assia has also met with Ripple’s CEO, Brad Garlingouse at the Paris Fintech Forum to discuss details about a new partnership.
“I think as a fintech company it’s essential for us to foster relationships with other fintech companies. Obviously, we’re one of the largest trading platforms on XRP – so very interested in forming a relationship with Ripple Labs and understanding what we can do together.”
Binance’s CEO Changpeng Zhao has also recently stated that he wants to team up with Ripple and boost xRapid.
“We’re focused on launching more features right now, so we are working with a number of other partners. With xRapid, there’s nothing going on right now, but in the future, we’ll definitely want to add them as a partner.”
Ripple is working with various crypto exchanges in order to power xRapid and get more banks and financial institutions to understand the benefits of using XRP: enhanced speed and efficiency.
Ripple has already partnered with crypto exchanges Bittrex, Coins.ph, Bitso, and Bitstamp.

Ripple gets more validation
It’s also important to note that the real-world use of xRapid is gaining more popularity.
For instance, Mercury FX global currency exchange provider just revealed that their new payment corridor to the Philippines is live and it’s working flawlessly.
The very first payment which has been made using Ripple’s product xRapid was completed on behalf of a client in the UK who wanted to send money across the world in order to pay for the honeymoon.

It’s essential to note that Mercury FX CEO Alastair Constance said the company sees xRapid as an effective alternative to the traditional payments system that has been used by banks for decades, SWIFT.
