Monero (XMR) Sees Upward Trend as It Turns to the Gaming Community
One of the biggest entertainment industry in the world, Video gaming is perfect for cryptocurrency payment, as most PC games are sold online. Monero did not need to think much about jumping on the gaming train, and we saw it when they announced their collaboration with the Xbox team back in January 2019.
Monero (XMR) Goes Upward, Seeing Huge Growth
Compared to the moment when Monero was introduced back in 2015, now after its fifth anniversary, the private decentralized blockchain-based cryptocurrency has seen a huge growth.
Right now, Monero is on 12th place in CoinMarketCap’s top 100 cryptocurrencies list.
On May 07, 2019 (08:29 UTC), the coin’s market cap was $1,167,660,612 USD, and it is trading at 68.83 USD, with a 24-hour volume of 47,914,861 USD.
Looking at the trend from the past 30 days, we saw the price going upward at over 0.8%, the highest one being 72.51 USD, with the lowest being 59.78 USD.
In the last week, the highest price was 69.78 USD, and the lowest was 60.23 USD.
On May 10, 2019 (05:34 UTC), the coin’s market cap was 1,153,808,545 USD, was trading at 68.24 USD, with a 24-hour volume of 90,295,568 USD.
Monero Partnerships in 2019
Monero has recently announced their collaboration with the Trippki Hotels, and the team is getting ready for the annual CONSENSUS event that will take place on May 13 in NYC.
Starting with 2019, the currency has been striking some strategic partnerships, and we also saw some aggressive online promotions, events and the introduction of new features.
What is worth noting is that Monero partnered with the Xbox gaming team, making them the first official cryptocurrency that was used for paying Frotnite content. The currency is also used in purchasing other online products as well.
The acceptance of XMR is increasing, and CryptoNewsz notes that all of these factors will make XMR prices go as “high as 100 USD in the next two quarters and can peak to almost 150 USD by the end of 2019.” We will have to wait and see how things go, hoping that the cryptocurrency market does not fluctuate this week.
