New Use Cases For Crypto: Binance Teams Up With Ripple, Tron, And VeChain For A New Project

2019 has been said to be the year of crypto mass adoption. Mainstream adoption of digital assets requires a lot of use cases, easy access to crypto, education, institutional investment, and more.

Use cases are still popping up in the crypto space which is great, and this helps lead the way towards the mass adoption of digital currencies.

Binance teams up with Tron, VeChain, and Ripple

Binance has just teamed up with Ripple, Tron, and VeChain in order to aid one million women from underdeveloped countries to get better access to sanitation.

According to the Daily Hodl, Binance Charity Foundation (which is Binance’s charity arm) has created an alliance of 47 companies which include Ripple, VeChain, Tron and more important names in the industry,

They are planning to launch a stablecoin that’s called Pink Care Token (PCAT).

This is aimed to end the lack of hygiene products and facilities and also to improve the overall feminine health and wellbeing.

According to the United Nations,

“Menstrual hygiene is still considered a taboo topic in many places throughout the world, leaving many women without safe, accessible, and hygienic spaces for washing and sanitation.”

According to the statistics, all over the globe, “about 2.5 billion people lack access to improved sanitation, and many of them are women.”

Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao stated the following:

“Pink Care Token is the first social-impact stablecoin issued on Binance Chain. A part of our mission is to promote cryptocurrency adoption, and I think charity is one of the most efficient ways to bring cryptocurrency value to more people.”

The redemption-token will be issued on Binance Chain and it will not be pegged to fiat currency, but to a year’s supply of sanitary pads.

Binance is interested in facebook’s Libra

In other news, Binance was recently in the spotlight when it made it very clear that they are engaged with Facebook.

Binance officer Gin Chao said that the company is extremely interested in joining Facebook’s Libra project.

He even spoke to BLOCKTV about the exchange’s interest in the new venture.
