The “Race Day” Is Coming – Crypto Is On Its Way To Mass Adoption, Bakkt CEO Says

This has definitely been a great year so far for the whole crypto space.

Besides more achievements of the most important projects, the bulls also made sure to return, and they brought back hope for investors.

More than that, 2019 is also expected to be the year of crypto mainstream adoption.

More experts have already said that we are out of the crypto winter and this year we should witness the enormous goal of crypto adoption becoming a reality.

Race Day is coming

CEO of Bitcoin futures exchange Bakkt Kelly Loeffler posted an article on Medium in which she was saying that the “race day” is getting closer and it’s only waiting for approval from the US CFTC.

You may recall that Bakkt was supposed to launch in the first part of 2019 and this launch has been delayed a few times because it’s still waiting for a nod from the regulatory authorities.

But this doesn’t mean that the launch is off – it’s just been postponed.

“As we work through regulatory approvals, we are mindful that the infrastructure we are building has the potential to create more opportunities for digital assets to grow in relevance and trust — by being more secure, investible and useful,” Loeffler said.

She continued “Race day is approaching, and there is more work to be done. I’m proud to be going the distance with this growing team and of the culture we are building, while bringing digital assets into the mainstream economy.”

Investinblockchain recently reported that there have also been a few important hires just ahead of the Bakkt launch.

Institutional investors are on their way

Also, institutional investments are awaited in the crypto space, and this will probably be the main trigger for mass adoption.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao says that the crypto traders are definitely back and he also said that they are in higher numbers than ever.

During a brand new interview with CNBC’s Crypto Trader, Changpeng Zhao said that the number of orders that are placed on the leading crypto exchange is how at an all-time high.

CZ also said that the FOMO mode has been activated and institutional money will come pouring into the crypto space due to more clarity and regulation.
