TRX airdrop is on the way
The crypto exchange platform also revealed that there’s an upcoming TRX airdrop that will be available to a select number of users. The current accounts and the ones that will be registered before June 30 will be eligible to receive 500,000 TRX.
This addition is just the latest in a series of new exchange listings for TRX. Tron has also been recently added to Indonesia’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Indodax. This came after a new listing on CoinEx an exchange which has its headquarters in Hong Kong.
Tron ix expecting the token swap and the super-representatives elections
Tron has enough upcoming events to keep Justin Sun and his team busy. They recently launched the Main Net which went flawlessly and now the team is gearing up to end Tron’s existence as an ERC-20 token. The token swap is scheduled for June 21st. After this, TRX holders will vote for 27 super representatives who will power Tron’s own network and validate transactions. Tron is anticipating the independence from the Ethereum network on June 25th. This is the date that will mark the completion of the token’s migration.
Tron purchased BitTorrent
Justin Sun, Tron’s founder, and CEO made headlines for purchasing BitTorrent. BitTorrent is a protocol that allows peer-to-peer file sharing on a large scale, and the moment a user on the network starts to download a file, they also begin uploading the file to other users at the same time. The result is an effective network that’s able to transfer large data to thousands of people. It’s not very clear yet how Justin Sun is planning to implement Tron’s technology to BitTorrent, but we’ll see.
