Tron was recently in the spotlight when it’s been reported that Justin Sun revealed via Twitter the launch of a new Tron and BitTorrent backed stablecoin.

A few days ago, Tron’s Justin Sun asked the opinion of the Tron community regarding the name that he should call the coin after making the announcement.

The new Tron and BitTorrent backed stablecoin will allow low volatility to be used across the globe. This was expected to be great news for the community, but the announcement was not exactly received with open arms.

Tron will introduce privacy technology

Justin Sun keeps the positive announcements flowing on his social media account. A few hours ago, he revealed that Tron is set to introduce privacy technology. He also detailed a new entity called TRONZ.

“TRON is set to introduce privacy technology based on zero-knowledge proofs to its smart contracts. TRONZ is a privacy initiative that is set to integrate Zk-SNARKs, the core privacy technology of #Zcash (ZEC), in the #TRON blockchain,” Sun posted on his Twitter account.

So, TRONZ is a privacy initiative that is set to integrate Zk-SNARKs with the goal to introduce the privacy protocol to Tron smart contracts, allowing developers to introduce private data within them.

Again, Sun’s announcement was not seen with too much enthusiasm and you can see this from the comments section. For instance, someone commented: “I feel govts allow you to operate in order to delegitimize the entire crypto space, but w/o them having to do anything.”

Anyway, regardless of the haters, Tron’s popularity keeps growing these days, that’s for sure. You may recall that recently we revealed that the project eve received a shoutout from one of YouTube’s most important stars.

Felix Kjellberg, better known as PewDiePie, is welcoming the news that DLive’s blockchain-based streaming platform is joining the Tron and BitTorrent (BTT) family.
