The first one that is mentioned by the online publication the Daily Hodl claims that a year ago, Bob Loukas, who is a BTC trader and analyst, predicted accurately what the price of BTC would be at the end of 2019. Now, he believes that BTC is headed for its all-time high near $20k by the end of 2020.
The second prediction mentions CEO of crypto investment giant Galaxy Digital Mike Novogratz who is also bullish on BTC, saying that he expects the king coin to end the year above $12k.
The third prediction mentions Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of Binance, who believes that a lot of governments around the world will experiment with blockchain and their very own digital assets.
Zhao said the following during an interview with Global Coin Research:
“I think in 2020, we will see different experiments tried by many different governments around the globe for adoption. Some will work, some may not, but overall, they will have a tremendously positive effect for crypto adoption.”
The fourth prediction mentions Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, who predicts that 10 of the 20 largest banks on the globe will begin to “actively hold and trade digital assets in 2020” as fiat currencies are going digital.
Other than this, despite the massive volatility of the crypto market, there have been a lot of optimistic predictions regarding the prices of the digital assets at the end of 2019.
Bitcoin’s halving which is scheduled for May this year is also expected to boost the coin’s price.
Garlinghouse is both the CEO and Chairman of Ripple Labs. This year, Ripple surpassed 300 partners, including over 115 banks worldwide. Having launched On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) for cross-border payments, Ripple now has more than 20 partners using XRP for ODL, including Moneygram, Western Union, and American Express.
CoinMarketCap is a website that provides cryptocurrency market cap rankings, charts, and more. It was purchased by Binance for $400M in 2020.
