Bank Of America Searches For A Project Manager To Lead A Secret Ripple Project

Ripple has been a lot in the news in 2019, and this was mostly due to all kinds of achievements that the San Francisco-based firm was able to achieve.

Now, it’s been just reported that Ripple might get involved with Bank of America.

Bank of America mentions Ripple secret project

There’s a recent job listing on LinkedIn which is showing that Bank of America has been searching for a treasury project manager who is supposed to help lead a secret Ripple project.

The job notice has been posted two months ago, and, at the moment, it doesn’t seem to receive applications anymore.

Back in June, Google Patents has published a patent application from Bank of America, which was highlighting Ripple’s DLT.

The title of the app which is still under review by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, is “Real-time net settlement by distributed ledger system,” as the online publication the Daily Hodl writes.

In some images, the patent makes references at Ripple, but it does not seem to mention the crypto XRP.

The recent job listing mentions the following:

“This role leads the product management team for the Ripple Project, a decentralized ledger technology-based solution to cross border payments marketed to GTS clients.”

Brad Garlinghouse did not confirm nor kill partnership rumors

It’s also worth noting that back in July, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse told Bloomberg that he was taken by surprise by the patent reports.

Back then, he said that he could neither “confirm nor kill” speculations.

“We are widely known to be working with a lot of banks around the world and certainly some of the largest banks in the world are already customers of ours today,” Garlinghouse said then.

He went on and explained that Ripple would keep working with big banks and financial institutions from all over the globe, and he highlighted the fact that he was surprised by that particular patent application.
