Bitcoin (BTC) Could Not Care Less About Bitcoin ETFs, Says eToro’s Mati Greenspan

Bitcoin ETFs have been expected in the crypto market for quite a while, and they have believed to be a real game changer. But not everyone believes that this will boost the market to the moon.

BTC ETFs won’t make such a huge difference

For instance, Mati Greenspan, the senior market analyst at eToro believes that BTC ETFs will not make such a big difference as some might think.

The famous market analyst recently had an interview with AMBCrypto and said the following about BTC ETFs.

“The idea of the SEC approving a Bitcoin ETF is basically saying that the government is going to approve something that the banks made. I don’t think Bitcoin cares very much about that.”

He spoke about the Bitwise Asset Management report that has been submitted to the SEC with references to their ETF proposal.

He said that this addressed two key points. It shed light on market manipulation and wash trading.

Greenspan also said that the proposal has a good chance of being accepted by the SEC.

More important issues

A lot of crypto analysts believes that there are more important issues in the crypto space these days. The main one is probably the mainstream adoptions of crypto.

Changpeng Zhao, for instance, believes that this huge goal could be achieved with the coming of a massive wave of institutional investors.

He said that the FOMO mode had been enabled and we can expect a lot of institutional money to start pouring into the crypto space.

On the other hand, Litecoin’s Charlie Lee talked about what he believes to be the missing element for crypto mass adoption to become a reality.

During a brand new interview with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Lee said that practical utility would be the factor that delivers digital currencies to the masses.
