ETH-based wallet MEW released major Chrome update
It’s been just revealed that the very popular Ethereum-based wallet MEW released a major Chrome extension update.
This new version is allowing users to browse Dapps by using temporary addresses. As you can imagine, this move will make sure that people will not accidentally send transactions and lose funds.
More than that, the extension has support for watch-only wallets, and this means that users can track their balances without having to access their wallets.
If you are already using the MEW extension, please be patient with the rollout – the update is coming!

“With MEW CX, you can explore a Dapp without making a commitment or risking spending funds by accident. All you need to do is use a temporary ‘burn address’! You can’t send transactions from this address, even if you click on something by accident, but it will allow you to access the Dapp’s interface,” according to the post on Medium.
They continue and write: “MEW CX is the first Web3 wallet that will give you the option of choosing which address to interact with any time you connect to a Dapp. If you want to have five Dapps open in five different browser windows, you can be using a different account in each one!”
