The collection was published by Monero Outreach, and it includes tips for everyone who wants to handle their Monero in the safest way possible and it also has useful data for both beginners and veterans.
There are seven pages with topics including how to set up your very first wallet.
A Secure Wallet Is A Happy Wallet
This is the first page, and it discusses the basis of any crypto which is, of course, the wallet.
The page tells users that they can choose between a hot wallet and a cold one and it highlights the differences between them.
Know Your Exchange Safety
This is the second page which has a few questions that users should ask themselves when they are considering using an exchange.
Don’t Talk About How Much Monero You Have
The third page focuses more on the individuals and their actions, offering advice on how to stay safe from hackers.
The page tells users to avoid discussing their crypto funds. “Attackers prowl the internet looking for people to reveal information about themselves that they might be able to take advantage of.”
Never Share Your Private Keys
This is the fourth page, and it advises users not to share their private keys and offers the reasons for this.
The only element a user should share with others is a public address for when they have to receive payments.
Know Your Hard Forks
The fifth page addresses hard forks and says that they are made by developers to implement updates to Monero code base.
Hard forks are making previous implementations of Monero incompatible.
This means that it’s imperative that users update their wallets accordingly to make sure funds are sent and received successfully.
Community Participation
The sixth page says that being involved in the community will also help users stay in the loop of what’s going on, allowing them to hear as soon as a new vulnerability is discovered, or if exchanges suddenly become compromised for some reason.
