Ripple-Backed XRP Payments Platform Now On App Store And Google Play
Ripple has been making increased efforts back in 2019 to boost the complete XRP ecosystem and also boost the coin’s adoption.
Despite the global crisis in the middle of which we are, the projects behind the most important coins in the market are still making plans to go on with their developments.
In terms of pricing, Ripple’s XRP is now trading in the green, just like the other important coins in the crypto market. XRP is priced at $0.180051.
It seems that XRP finally managed to break $0.18 after a long while in which the coin had found support at $0.17.
Recently, we’ve also reported that Ripple is working hard to boost privacy on XRP Ledger.
XUMM launched on Google Play and App Store
It’s been just revealed that the XRP-powered wallet and payment platform XUMM launched the public beta and it’s available on the App Store and Google Play.
This app is allowing users to store various currencies and trade them on the XRP Ledger’s native decentralized exchange.
Wietse Wind, CEO of XRPL Labs, which is backed by Ripple, said that XUMM has been built with the main aim to give people a way to save and spend Euro, dollars, XRP and more currencies without the help of any financial institutions.
Have a question on XUMM. What are the use case scenarios for the app? Sorry just not sure.

The app’s developers are encouraging first adopters to test XUMM. There’s also a word of caution involved, as pointed out by the online publication the Daily Hodl.
“While we would greatly appreciate it if you participate in the Beta and provide us with input, for sure, there will be things for us to fix.”
Wind continued and highlighted the importance of being cautious: “We ask you to proceed with caution. If you plan on importing, depositing and/or sending XRP or IOU value with the XUMM Beta app, make sure to do it with an account containing only limited amounts of funds.”
How safe it is? Any guarantees on XRPs on this wallet?

Wind also talked about safety in the project while answering a question coming from a Twitter user.
