Ripple and XRP mark new achievements.
Ripple just revealed a new feature for the cross-border clients RippleNet Home.
This app is designed to give financial institutions on the network a hub that they will be able to use in order to analyze data on their fiat and XRP transactions as well as connecting with one another.
Check out more details about the app in the video below.
Ripple received great feedback on YouTube after posting the video.
A user said: “RippleNET Home looks like the future. Thank you for posting this,” and someone else posted: “First the banks, now the retailers. Good game, Ripple!”
Ripple’s XRP to be used by one of the largest Peru banks
Other than this, Ripple will be used by Peru’s largest bank.
Banco International de Peru aka Interbank said that it’s switching from Ripple’s payment messaging system xCurrent to the XRP-powered payment product ODL aka xRapid.
Interbank’s blockchain specialist Joisie Mantilla made the announcement at Ripple’s Swell conference in Singapore.
“In Peru, we started thinking about cryptocurrencies when they first started appearing in the US. The bank has done a great job trying to attract talent that is really focused on innovation. And we have an innovation lab inside the bank,” Mantilla said as cited by the online publication the Daily Hodl.
Mantilla continued and explained “So we work as a team that is allowed to fail and try different things, and we started working with xCurrent in that way. And now, after a year of working with xCurrent, we have decided to move forward this year and use the cryptocurrency to do our transactions.”
Other than this, Ripple has recently revealed 24 customers who are currently using the XRP-based payments solution.
More than that, Ripple’s recent report highlighted the fact that the overall interest in crypto is on the rise.
