According to an analyst closely monitoring cryptocurrencies, Solana (SOL) is still experiencing a downtrend despite a surge last week. Altcoin Sherpa, who goes by a pseudonym, shared this opinion on the social media platform X with their 196,300 followers.
The analyst stated that Solana is encountering significant resistance at approximately $19.50, and since reaching its high of $32.30 in July, has been creating bearish lower-high setups.
Altcoin Sherpa cautioned against getting too excited about the current upward movement, as every rally in the past few weeks has resulted in a lower high.
However, for those who are investing, it doesn’t hurt to accumulate Solana at a price below $20.
At time of writing, SOL is trading for $19.04, up over 8% from its seven-day low of $17.57.
Altcoin Sherpa predicts that the $14 mark could serve as a support level in case SOL’s recent rally declines.
However, there is a risk that SOL may not be able to maintain its value above $14, depending on how FTX, the bankrupt crypto exchange, sells its Solana trove worth $1.16 billion.
Altcoin Sherpa also predicts that it may take some time for SOL to reach its bottom, and the upcoming months will be crucial in determining how the market reacts to FTX’s large supply of SOL.
