Cardano has always been waning users about online scams and all kinds of fake giveaways. Now, the team behind the project made sure to release another such warning for YouTube users.
New Cardano scam is lurking on YouTube
Check out the latest post that the Cardano Foundation dropped on their Twitter account:
Please note there is currently a scam going on Youtube with a video clip of Charles as a live AMA offering free ada. Please note, this is fake and is not from IOHK or the Cardano Foundation.https://t.co/9moCo2kQeZ

In their official blog post, the Cardano team began by saying: “As some of you may be aware, there has been a notable increase 8 in the number of unofficial giveaways that promise financial return in the form of crypto assets for the deposit of ADA to a given wallet address. Instead, the unsuspecting user loses the entirety of their original deposit and receives nothing in return.”
The team continues and reveals that such fake schemes are an unfortunate consequence of the fact that Cardano sees increasing popularity in the crypto community.
“The perpetrators of these schemes use various methods to defraud victims, including impersonating influential figures in the Cardano ecosystem, claiming to be Cardano partners 8, hijacking YouTube accounts with many thousands of followers, and posing as the official social media accounts of Cardano, the Cardano Foundation, EMURGO, or IOHK—or employees thereof,” Cardano notes.
We recommend that you head over to the official blog post in order to learn the complete details.
