The world needs a new financial operating system
He also recently talked about the various reasons for which the world needs a new financial operating system and governments and corporations should build on platforms like Cardano.
Hoskinson said that the world reserve currency system would fail and there are two options available:
- the first one is a one-world currency
- private currencies that will compete with national currencies
“We gonna either have a one world currency or we gonna have private money that compete with national currencies but it makes no sense for one country to be the world reserve currency […]. And then you think about finance in general, and you say, the way we are doing banking, we are doing credits, the way we do credit scores. All this stuff is really bad,” he said.
Hoskinson continued and said: “We need to improve it […] and turn it into a kind of Darwinian marketplace where you have thousands of competing ideas. They fight each other, and eventually, the survival of the fittest, those ones will come to the top, and we can rebuild the world’s financial system.”
