You may recall that the controversial character Craig Wright has been claiming to be the famous Bitcoin inventor, Satoshi Nakamoto.
Wright was compelled to prove his BTC holdings
Craig Wright, the famous liar as some call him, who claims to have created Bitcoin and wrote the whitepaper had been compelled by a Florida judge to prove his Bitcoin holdings.
More than that, the Federal Court has also summoned the man behind Bitcoin SV to speak under oath by the end of this month.
The Daily Hodl reported not too long ago that Wright‘s legal battle continues against the estate of Dave Kleiman who Wright claims was involved in the invention of BTC.
Wright must hand $ 5 billion to Kleiman’s estate
Now, a judge in Florida has filed an official order in which they were declaring that Wright must hand half of the estimated $10 billion BTC holdings to the estate of his late business partner, Dave Kleiman.
Judge Bruce E. Reinhart said that he is convinced Wright has not told the truth in court, and that more than that, he also may have forged documents.
Wright will now have to surrender an estimated 500,000 BTC worth more than $5 billion.
“During his testimony, Dr. Wright’s demeanor did not impress me as someone who was telling the truth,” the judge said.
He continued, as cited by the online publication the Daily Hodl and said that “When it was favorable to him, Dr. Wright appeared to have an excellent memory and scrupulous attention to detail. Otherwise, Dr. Wright was belligerent and evasive.”
The judge also explained that when Wright was confronted with evidence that was showing that certain documents had been fabricated or altered, “he became extremely defensive, tried to sidestep questioning, and ultimately made vague comments about his systems being hacked and others having access to his computers.”
