Edge is a mobile wallet platform that employs high-end security features to protect users private data. Now, Edge has become the first mobile wallet to add Ripple (XRP) and Monero (XMR).
This new addition of Ripple (XRP) and Monero (XMR) on Edge comes as a result of the platform’s devs’ work to innovate, optimize, and enhance the Edge mobile wallet platform.
Therefore, the latest Edge v1.2.0 includes XRP and XMR addition, along with private key swapping feature and credit/debit card buy/sell directly within the app.
Edge has proven its loyalty to its community by adding Ripple (XRP) and Monero (XMR)
Edge’s community members, along with the cryptocurrency enthusiasts, have been asking for a broader adoption for Ripple (XRP) and Monero (XMR) in mainstream apps and platforms.
Accordingly, Edge has listened and applied the community’s demands.
“We’ve listened closely to our community over the last few months and found a strong demand for these currencies [XRP and XMR] on the Edge platform. Both communities are different but they face the same issue: how do we hold and use our currency? Edge is proud to announce that they can now find that option here,” said Paul Puey, CEO of Edge.
Edge is the first mobile wallet to add Ripple (XRP) and Monero (XMR) capabilities
While both XRP and XMR can be securely stored in Edge mobile wallet, their uses differ. Thus, Ripple (XRP) tends to be used more by those who want to use cryptocurrencies as legal tender, while Monero (XMR) provides more anonymity.
Edge platform is the first mobile wallet to add Ripple (XRP) and Monero (XMR) but given the fact the both these crypto are in top 20 by market cap, with XRP on the third position and XMR on the 14th, we should expect more and more mainstream apps and platforms to add these two cryptos.
